Canadian Rockies Day 2

This was saved as a draft and got lost until today. oops.

Canadian Rockies Day 2
First, a correction. We are not picking up the ladies in Fargo. It's Bismark. Even further to ride.
No problem, we can do that.
Today, Saturday the 19th, we woke up early at the Bellvue park camp ground. Had our tea and coffee, made on the pocket rocket of course.  A handy device that. They're small and work real well.
After packing up we headed out. We were headed to route 35 in Wisconsin, The Great River Road. First stop was Richman Cafe for breakfast. Can't run long on an empty stomach.
After breakfast it was on the road. We stopped for gas in Gutenberg Iowa. We met a couple on a trike heading out for a ride. We were told that Pikes Peak was a local site to see, of course my first thought was....local?   We've been there. Turns out, there's a Pikes Peak Iowa. That Pikes Peak we hadn't been to. So....off we went....to our second Pikes Peak.
Pikes Peak Iowa is the point where the Mississippi and the Wisconsin rivers meet.
There is a nice little 960 acre park with a couple of overlooks that give a terrific view of the rivers.

While we were on the overlook, we heard a train going by but couldn't find it. As it happens, the train was right below us right along the river.
Onward!  North on 52 to Wisconsin then 35 north to Nelson and crossed the river to Minnesota. Then 61 north to 19 towards Minneapolis. This route took us through many small towns where we stopped at MANY MANY lights and stop signs. Sometimes moving at the breakneck speed of 25 miles an hour.....or less. We only stopped for directions a few times.
We finally got to the KOA camp ground in Jordan Minnesota. Again, here we have no internet access. This park is crowded and there is limited access at best. So now this won't be loaded for a day or two. Hopefully tomorrow.
Anyway. It was a long day. We saw the Mississippi river like we've never seen it before. I know I've crossed the river probably a hundred times or more and this has been a side of the river that is new to me. The size is amazing. It just seems to spread everywhere.
Well, one more day down the tube. Mileage for today was 350 for a total so far of 848 miles. Not bad for two days on bikes. Until tomorrow.
