We were up bright (?) and early. At least we started rumbling around about 6 am. Nothing bright about it, it was still raining, no hope of a sunrise, only clouds and more rain. We’re havin’ fun now! Again, no picture at this time, though it would be a good one.
We all have small tents, so there’s no place to change into rain gear except out in the rain. So, the rain gear goes on over the wet clothes. Right…. makes for some comfortable riding. We didn’t do too bad though. As soon as the rain gear was on and the tents packed up, we were once again on the road.
It was raining nearly all the way through Missouri, not always a hard rain, but at least a mist or drizzle all the way.
I don’t remember exactly where we noticed the rain had stopped, but stop it did. It stayed overcast all the way into Kansas.
Again, sorry Missouri, not much to mention about our trip through Missouri, we were just trying to get out of the rain.
We decided to stop at the Cross Timbers State Park to rest up and dry out.
We set up camp, Jim and Doug brought in fried chicken and beer. It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Naturally, we haven’t been any where near a wi-fi location yet. Tomorrow we start looking for that. Drying out
